Hi all,

Still need a major rain.. really, really bad....The swamps are still pouring out all the water they can. Water temps down low were at 64 deg.. Up here, in the backyard they are at 62 deg at 8 p.m..Fishing has been tough for most and fair for some. I have been able to squeak out a couple fish to the net each day but it has been a while since I have had a day to brag about. I had one day this week where one of my clients got a lure color named after him. We washed a bunch of baits. Then I pulled out a color that I have never caught a fish with before. It came out of the box with a vengeance and produced 4 for 4. I named it the Kilbury Killer. Bob will be back next year to sign autographs... Ha Ha. Here is a couple pictures of Bob on 9/9/09.

I had another angler of the week as well. Gina had the hot hand on Labor Day and she will admit those Salmon are Labor. She was a small gal and is one of the few people I have meet that was actually kinda glad when the fish got off @&!! after she landed 2..Her husband Chris was proud and jealous all at the same time.. Here's Gina with a couple Salmon she put in the net.

Today I had a 3 person 1/2 day.  Russ, Rusty and Logan, 3 generation family trip. Rusty landed 2 and we had a few others on but they busted us up..

Of course nothing has beat the news that has spread around the fishing world in a day or two like the new world record Lake Run Brown @ 41.7 lbs WOW. I have a pretty large net and I would feel under gunned trying to fit that monster in it..It was caught on the Big Manistee 9/9/09 on a Rapala Shad Rap the guy was fishing for Kings and Walla !! World Record Fish...

My open dates left for September are 14,15,16,18,20  Don't be camera shy !  Get in the boat on one of these open days and let me take your picture with a big Salmon !!!
My open dates for October are 6th. and from the 10 th. on..... Fly fishing is great all of October Steelhead, Trout, Coho, and Kings all in the same day is all very possible..

Have a great Salmon season and hope to see you around the Lodge or on the river this Fall..

Tight Lines

Clint
