The weather was cold out there today..The river levels had dropped overnight and all during the day. It fished ok today the water was only 33 deg. so the bite was kinda cold as well . Tomorrow the forecast is more Spring like it is suppose to reach lower 40's . The wading and boating will still be challenging for the weekend. With a warming trend on the way  the river is on the decent from the high water mark. Fishing will get better over the next week as long as we don't get any kind rain for about a week.

3 /12... John Robinson and I went on a scouting mission today in the mid river. We hit a 10 lb. buck and a nice 15 " brown . We didn't tear them up by any means but a couple to the boat is always nice see and it was a beautiful sunny day  ..Tomorrow we hope to do better. I think we will if the water would just warm a little for us.

3 /10...Pete was out with me for a 1/2 day trip in the lower river. Wow ! was the river pumping down there. We didn't touch a fish and neither did anyone else we bumped into fishing down there. It rained hard most of the morning and a better part of the day.

3/ 9... Went lower river with Chris in the morning. The water was high and on the rise we slapped a couple in the face but couldn't keep them on for long.

3/ 8...John Robinson, John Matson and friends all went ice fishing on a local lake. It is ice out conditions. Most lakes still have safe ice around here but it is starting to thin and a few lakes are open water around springs and river mouths.

3/ 6...Steve Martinez and I went to the Big Man for a look around. The air was warm the water was ice cold here too and the fish were pretty stubborn on the biting end. It was still nice to have a change of scenery. We fished a few honey holes and brought the jet sled out of hibernation from its long winter nap.

It was a busy week around here and the phones are starting to wake up which is nice to see. Been seeing more boats being pulled around town. The pressure is still light during the week. The weekends have been seeing a few more fishermen still putting up with winter temps but with big smiles just to be out of the house doing what they love. One of the clients here Ray just pulled in tonight with a new Hyde boat going out on his maiden voyage tomorrow he is pumped. Spring is just around the corner, it is so close I can taste it...

Tight lines
